ATELJÉ MORGAN YNGVE & GALLERI Y
BRYGGERIET KULTURCENTRUM NYKÖPING SWEDEN
Morgan Yngve is a painter and sculptor born in Nyköping Sweden 1971. Since being a part of a family of craftsmen, artists and an altoghether very creative enviroment, From an early age Morgan enjoyed working with his hands eager to create things out of his fantasy.
As a young man he spendt a lot of time out at the swedish archipelago following his father, who was a boat constructor and his stephfather who was a fisherman, feeling natures breath and the strength and power of the elements. This altogether is the the core in Morgans art. His often very raw interpretation of the motifs embodies both so much of his own heritage blended with a symbolic visualization, making it unique when it comes alive.
Through all his life he felt a very strong connection to history and has been searching his heritage. Being very faschinated in how people interact in different cultures and areas, seeking hidden signs and making his own interpretation, gives his art many different layers. A variation that resonates with both the mind and the soul. The mix of eclectic colors and bold shapes dancing on the canvas leaves fuel for the imagination and tickles ones fantasy
Music is the main fuel when Morgan works in his studio. The taste varies from jazz, through world music, blues, rock to heavy metal. Every sound and beat adding it´s special spice to the artwork. The purest form of mindfullness appears. Loosing track of time and travelling in his own world, the art sometimes is born in a subconciouis state of mind, takes over and leads him to the final strokes.
